I am several days behind on the Joy of Love photography assignments, so here are a couple at once.

day 7 {generations}

For day 7, I was supposed to take a picture that represented generations. I chose to photograph my dining room table and buffet since it has been passed down in my family. This dining room set is so special to me since many memories come with it. My grandparents bought this unusual and unique from an individual in the city. I remember being a young child and playing under the dining room table with my cousins at my Grandma’s house.  When my grandma bought her a new dining room set, my parents got this set.  When my grandma passed away, my parents got her dining room set and passed down this set to me. I grew up eating at this table and now my son gets to grow up eating at this table as well. My son also plays under the table just like I did when I was his age.  Who knows, maybe my son’s future children will eat at this very same table.

day 8 {gift from the heart}

Last year in 2010, my husband and I had a date night to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Our evening started out with watching the movie Valentine’s Day in the movie theater, eating an Italian dinner at Olive Garden, and ended with us eating dessert at BJ’s, an amazing restaurant.  My husband had already given me beautiful roses for Valentine’s Day, so I did not expect anything else. However, while we were enjoying our delightful pazookie for dessert in the dimly lit restaurant, my husband had a surprise for me. He took a couple of little boxes out of his coat pocket and gave them to me.  The boxes contained a beautiful necklace and earrings! Needless to say I almost cried and was amazed at his Valentine’s Day surprise! Our evening was one of the most amazing and memorable date nights and ended with such a sweet and thoughtful surprise from my husband!
